Q. Tell me more about PayPal and buying from jefflefever.com?
A. This site uses PayPal Express as the payment system. PayPal allows you to use your credit card of choice through a PayPal account to make payments. Checkout processes are done on a PayPal page, not directly jefflefever.com online gallery shop. When your cart is full and you are ready to checkout, simply click the Checkout with PayPal button which will redirect you to a secure PayPal checkout page. All shipping, billing and customer details are completed on the PayPal checkout page. After you make the payment at PayPal, you will be returned to this website to confirm your order.
It should be noted that while payment by credit card without a PayPal account is supported, the payment process by credit card is also a sign-up form to create a PayPal account with the supplied card tied to the account. Signing up with PayPal is secure and your information is safe.
If by chance you are uncomfortable with PayPal, you are more than welcome to mail your order to: Jeff LeFever Artwork, 441 Anita Street, Laguna Beach, CA 92651. Include with your order an email address, shipping address and phone number so the actual price can be verified and confirmed by you. Once the final amount is confirmed, you can mail a personal or cashier check/ money order. All correspondence will be confirmed through email.
Q. I am not a California resident and PayPal is adding tax to my order…I thought being from out of state made me exempt to paying California State sales tax ?
A. You are exempt. The tax is only for California residents because I operate the business from within California. This is also the way that Shopp shopping cart software works with PayPal Express. It adds the tax to all orders through the checkout process – it is only upon returning to jefflefever.com as the last step of the order to CONFIRM the order that CA. Sales Tax is dropped off out of state orders. It is just the way these two soft-wares work together. I am sorry for the scare – the actual transaction does not take place until you CONFIRM your order. Please note that tax should not be added at that point of the check out process. Shipping and handling will be added, please note that is separate from the tax.
